Comments: mboxgrep is a small utility that scans a mailbox for messages matching a basic, extended, or Perl-compatible regular expression. Found messages can be either displayed on standard output, counted or written to another mailbox. It supports mbox, MH, nnmh, nnml and Maildir folders.

It can be installed with rpm --install mboxgrep-0.7.9-2.i386.rpm

This RPM file was created for PLD Linux, which originated as a package repository for RedHat Linux. It will work for RedHat distributions as well, but you may need to upgrade other software on the system. When I tried to install it on a RedHat 9.1 system, I received the following error message.


error: Failed dependencies:
        libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3.4) is needed by mboxgrep-0.7.9-2

However, I was able to install mboxgrep 0.7.9-1 without having to upgrade other software on the system.
