External Blacklists Explained

External Blacklists, sometimes called DNSBLs or RBLs, are lists of internet addresses that potential spam originates from. These lists can be used to block potential spammers from your network.

sbl.spamhaus.org
xbl.spamhaus.org
relays.ordb.org
bl.spamcop.net
Only sbl/xbl.spamhaus.org are recommended. We do not recommend the others as they sometimes block legitimate email. Blocking is recommended since Quarantine or Tagging will have a negative performance impact.

Blacklist Options

 Delay RBL Check:Yes No
Performs all RBL checks after the RCPT TO is given. This allows sender/recipient information to be available in the message log. Setting to 'No' will result in only the IP being available in the message log entry. Recommended: No.
Blacklist Using Full Headers:Yes No
Use if mail is not received directly from the Internet. Will currently only use "Common" Blacklists for full header scanning. Recommended: No (due to performance impact).
