digestIT 2004 integrates into the Windows Explorer allowing you to
right-click on a file and calculate an MD5 sum (message digest) for that
file or verify an MD5 sum for the file. An MD5 sum is a checksum of the
contents of a file. By calculating the MD5 sum for a file and checking it
against its expected value, you can verify the integrity of a file, i.e.
you can assure that it has not been corrupted or undergone tampering.
