Manufacturer's product descriptionProviding from 9 to 18 ports, the DE-809 hubs are ideal for connecting a local group of users or a cluster of stations stemming from a central network. These hubs can be easily placed in tight desktop space, or mounted on a wall. To increase the number of ports, the hubs can be connected together. An uplink port is provided for easy hub cascading through the normal straight-through UTP cable. Linking to the main network can be achieved by attaching the hubs to the network backbone through a built-in BNC port in DE-809TC or AUI in DE-809TP. The DE-809 has an external AC power adapter to reduce network interruptions by allowing field engineers to replace a failed power supply instead of taking down the entire network. |
