When you visit a web page with videos that can be downloaded by Video DownloadHelper, you will see 3 balls with a number next to them at the top, right-hand corner of the Firefox window. The number tells you how many variations of the video you can choose from when you select the format for the downloaded video.
If you click on the icon with the 3 balls you will see the options for downloading the video. E.g., in the example above, Video DownloadHelper shows that you can select from seven variants for the downloaded video. The options are shown below.
In the above exaple, I could choose to download the video in any of the following formats:
For some options, the size of the file that will be produced by selecting that option for the downloaded video is displayed. You can find information on the various resolutions on the Wikpedia pages Low-definition television - see Resolutions - and High-definition video. You may also see "In other tabs" displayed at the bottom of the list, if there are videos on pages in other browser tabs that Video DownloadHelper can download.
You will also see a downward pointing arrow to the right of the 3 balls. If you click on the downward pointing triangle to the right of it, you will see a menu where you can choose "All actions" or "Options" or choose one of the download formats.
