I usually uncheck the options to create shortcuts on the desktop and select the option to install it for use by all users.
The next step will show you the new features in the current version.
At the next step, you can associate IrfanView with certain types of image files to make it the default application to open the files or you can just click on Next.
When you get to the "Ready to Install" step, you have the option to set the INI file folder. By default, it is the IrfanView folder. But to allow different users of the system to have their own settings, which is the recommended option when installing on Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 systems, select "User's Application Data folder", instead.
C:\MustangPEBuilder_2_ADK\Plugins
. The default content of the file is as follows:
[Plugins]
plugin1=A43\A43Utility.exe
plugin2=PENetCfg\PENetCfg.exe
plugin3=
Change "plugin3=" to "plugin3="IrfanView/Irfanview.exe".
Specify the directory into which you installed IrfanVew. The following
two files will be copied from that directory and will appear in the
Program Files\IrfanView
directory on the boot disc.
i_view32.exe
i_view32.chm
The .chm file is a help file, but when you boot from the disc by default there is no utility that can display the contents of help files, so help won't be available from inside IrfanView.
Alternatively you can copy i_view32.exe
from the directory
where you installed it into
C:\MustangPEBuilder_2_ADK\Plugins\Irfanview\Files
and then
specify it as the "Path to IrfanView Program Files".
That will result in that path being put in the irfanview.ini
file in C:\MustangPEBuilder_2_ADK\Plugins\Irfanview\
. I.e.,
that file will then contain the following lines:
[Paths]
Program Files=C:\MustangPEBuilder_2_ADK\Plugins\Irfanview\Files
After you burn the .iso file you created to a bootable disc and boot a system with it, you will see IrfanView on the desktop and in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen.
