Obtaining a command prompt in Windows 11

On a Windows 11 system, you can open a command prompt window by typing command prompt in the Search field at the bottom of the screen. When you see the Command Prompt app returned in the search results, click on it to open a command prompt window without administator privileges or select "Run as administrator" to open a command prompt window with administrator privileges.

If you choose to open a command prompt with administrator privileges it will open with the default directory set to C:\Windows\System32 and you will see "Administrator: Command Prompt" as the title of the window.
