The vsftpd package can be used on a CentOS 7 system to provide FTP server service from the system. After installing the package, you may want to customize its configuration for your needs. After configuring it, you will need to start the service with
systemctl start vsftpd
and will need to issue the systemctl enable vsftpd
command
to ensure it starts automatically when the system boots. You will also
need to allow FTP connectivity in to the system from FTP clients by
configuring the firewall software on the CentOS 7 systems as well,
which by default is firewalld for CentOS 7 systems.
