The sysctl
command can be used on a Mac
OS X/macOS
system to determine some
machine dependent (machdep) features, such as
Central Processor Unit (CPU) features. E.g., the output of sysctl
machdep.cpu run on a
MacBook Pro
(Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) system with an Intel Core i7 processor is
shown below:
