If you have forgotten the password for the root account on a Solaris system, as I did, you can hit the Stop and A keys to get to the Open Boot Prompt (OBP) and then use
boot cdrom -s to boot from
a Solaris boot CD. You can then mount the root partition of the boot disk and
edit the /etc/shadow file to temporarily remove the password from the
account.
